I had declared my major! Elementary Education it would be. Then it was Music Therapy, and then, sitting in a career exploration class, drawing a picture of my crush in the margins of my notebook, I impulsively decided on an art major.

Little did I know that I would veer away from drawing and painting, which I couldn’t do (don’t even get me started on pinch pots) to Advertising design, spending hours writing and rewriting headlines for Roundup, Burpee Seeds, and even the Bible.

It wasn’t long before I had written and designed marketing for Space Dynamics Laboratory and RCWilley and had three kids that I found myself back in school for, can you guess? Elementary Education! I know. After five years of teaching first grade, and during Covid no less, my husband and I leased our home and with three kids in tow, hopped on an airplane for the adventure of a lifetime- a full year of travel across sixteen countries and four continents.

If you learn one thing from raising kids while teaching full time and going to night school, as well as galivanting around the globe for a year with three teenagers, mixed with one brain tumor (my husband), diabetes (my son), and a head on collision in Alaska (me), it’s how to adapt and stay positive! I honed my problem solving skills, learned the importance of teamwork, met all the deadlines, and most important of all, developed empathy on top of my natural ability to relate to people on a deeper level.

After all that, I found myself getting back to my roots, eager to use my creativity, my thirst for adventure, and flare for copywriting to connect to people, who like you, appreciate a good challenge. I would love to accompany you on your next adventure, helping you grow your business by connecting you to your community with copy that spreads a little wider and hits a little deeper.
